The Trans Panic Defense

Little known but all the more shitful, the 'Trans panic defense' is a legal positional argument that allows a defendant to claim 'insanity' in cases where the defendant is being charged for the murder of a transgender victim.
In short, if you are transgendered, and you do not inform a sexual partner of your condition, and they decide to kill you over it, then they have legal right to claim 'insanity', as the stimulus that brought them to kill you.
Almost all recorded incidents where this defense was invoked had been successful, usually downgrading charges of 1st degree murder to manslaughter in recognition of this defense.
To me, this defense, and its success in application, means that a transgendered person does not have the same legal rights a cisgender person does. The same defense is often invoked in the murder of gay people also. A testament to the laws inability to move with the times.
My Take On This:
This is a nasty perpetuation of that which drives trans-hate, and related phobias. A clear outline of how much understanding the law has of transgender issues, and relations. A loud testament to the fact that we are not equal amongst our peers.
It is out of the fear of being killed, harmed, or hated that a trans person chooses to not disclose their condition to prospective sexual partners. This defense assures this to be true, by inadvertently naming a trans person actions as deceitful, and predacious, instead of addressing the social issues, and stigmas attached to trans people ingeneral.
The law fails us....
The law fails us....
The law fails us....
The law fails us....
The law fails us....
The law fails us....

The law fails us....
The law fails us....
Nothing makes me want to scream more than when something everyone else takes for granted, is not provided to us. We spend our lives living half-existences within ourselves, but then the highest authorities in our land see it fit to punish us further, by removing our basic civil rights to not be murdered at the hands of those who hate. Making it OK to hate, and get away with it.
If a persons response is of a hateful act.. like murder.. then that act is undoubtly drawn out from fear... Fear is the father of misconception, and ignorance.. and ignorance is without a doubt the spawn of poor education, and lack of information.
It is not fair that we live in a world that chooses not to understand, and will not be educated... and that is why we must seek change.. demand it, and acquire it therein.
Transgenderism is a deep conviction that will only be understood once education, and the dissipation of misconception is achieved.
This is a call to arms!!!! Go now, and begin to change how the world views YOU... stop perpetuating the self-hate, and loathing that others would project onto you, and LIVE SUCESSFULLY WITHOUT DISCONTENT.
When you hide in the shadows unwilling to speak up... you help that shadow to grow.. leaving the rest of us in the dark.. causing a ripple effect that is more like a tsunami, than a pebbled dropped in a pond.
If you can think of anyway to begin change within your world, for the better of your condition, then you are indirectly helping all of those who came before you, and all of those who will undoubtedly come after...
Be a trail-blazer... seek change in your world, and help to change ours.
